I started the birth control pills last Thursday (Reclipsen). I don't know how fast it hits my system, but this weekend I was SUPER tired, a little depressed, and today I'm nauseous - all but the tiredness are side effects of that pill. Excellent.
I worked until noon today and then came home. I had a couple of close calls, panicking, thinking I needed to grab my garbage can so I could vomit. THANKFULLY I didn't (I really really hate puking - I'm actually scared to puke).
Anyway, I called the doctor's office and left them a voicemail. I know there is nothing that they can do about it, but maybe if I need to go on it again he can prescribe something else...or maybe I'm just sick.
So here I am curled up on the recliner, with a blanket, the TV remote, my laptop, a magazine and a book - the essentials for feeling crappy.
My last pill will be Sept. 2. Hopefully I don't feel crappy the whole time!

I have not read your whole blog so maybe you've already talked about this but...
I have PCOS. I tried to get pregnant for 2 years. I did several cycles of clomid but that created more cysts that continued to get bigger and bigger. Eventually my doctor decided to do a procedure known as "ovary drilling" or also called an ovarian cystectomy. I had the large cysts cut open and drained and the other remaining small cysts popped. It was a laproscopic procedure. I got pregnant within less than two weeks of having this procedure done and with no additional help (no clomid, no IUI, no IVF). So, I'm not sure if you have already had this procedure done or if you're a candidate, but it's worth looking into. Good luck!
Hey there! I actually get sick from BCP's as well. I recently took them for one of my IVF cycles and it got to the point that I was going to get a script for Zofran but I realized that Dramamine worked just fine. So my suggestion is to take some Dramamine when you get up in the morning and then if you start to feel sick again take it then. Mine nausea never went away until I stopped them. After my 2 m/c I went back on them for my PCOS but I had to stop them after 3 months of feeling like crap. I am so sorry you are going through the same thing. I am not doing another round of IVF for another 18 months or so, but I will start back up on the BCP's when it gets closer. Definitely try the Dramamine though!!! Hope you feel better!
